ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is set to review former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s appeals against his sentences in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references today.
Nawaz Sharif will personally appear before a division bench led by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb.
The IHC Registrar’s Office has instructed the Islamabad police chief to ensure adequate security measures for the proceedings, scheduled in courtroom number one. Access to the courtroom is restricted to lawyers and journalists with security passes, limited to 30 journalists.
This development follows the IHC’s approval of Nawaz Sharif’s petitions to reinstate appeals in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield cases.
