Imran directs KP govt to speedup ensure relief activities

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan deplored the plane crash that left 47 people including celebrated figure Junaid Jamshed dead on Wednesday.
In a statement, Imran Khan said that the reports regarding heavy loss of human lives are extremely painful.
Imran Khan directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to commit no negligence in relief activities, saying, “Every possible effort should be undertaken to save lives of the passengers.”
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 carrying over 40 passengers crashed on the way to Islamabad from Chitral on Wednesday.
The PIA jet has crashed near Havelian, Abbottabad, moments after it disappeared from radar.
PIA’s ATR-42 aircraft operating as PK-661 was scheduled to reach Islamabad but it lost contact with control tower. Captain Saleh Hayat was operating the flight. There were 47 passengers and crew members on-board the ill-fated craft which included renowned religious personality Junaid Jamshed and his wife Aisha Junaid.
There were 31 men, nine women and two infants onboard the ill-fated flight.
