ISLAMABAD: Founding Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan has expressed his willingness to engage in talks with the establishment, emphasizing that his party has only criticized the military and never accused it of any wrongdoing.
During an informal chat with journalists at court, Khan suggested that the establishment appoint a spokesperson for clearer communication. “We are ready to talk with the army,” he stated, clarifying that PTI’s stance is not anti-military but critical in nature, likening it to the constructive criticism of a spoiled child within a household. “Criticism is the beauty of democracy,” he added.

When a journalist pointed out that Khan’s recent statements seemed to indicate a desire to mend relations with the military despite leveling allegations against it, Khan responded, “I have never leveled allegations against the military; I have only criticized it. Don’t teach us that the military has never made mistakes.”
Khan also voiced his full support for the Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in, pledging that PTI will fully participate in their protest.
