Aleema Khan has confirmed that Imran Khan was allowed to speak with his sons for around 20 minutes, describing the development as an emotional moment for the former prime minister.
In a statement shared on social media, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan was very happy to hear his children’s voices. She added that the family is now waiting for his immediate medical treatment under the supervision of his personal doctors at Shifa International Hospital.
According to her, specialist doctors should make every possible effort to restore his eyesight. She alleged that delays in providing treatment have affected his vision and warned that any further delay would be unacceptable.
Aleema Khan stressed that urgent medical attention is necessary to prevent permanent damage and ensure proper care.
Meanwhile, a federal minister also confirmed that arrangements were made for Imran Khan to speak with his sons. Jail authorities issued a statement saying the call was facilitated in compliance with orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Officials stated that Imran Khan spoke with his children for more than 30 minutes. His sons, Qasim and Suleman, are currently residing in London.
