Imran to lay foundation for Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi


KARACHI: Former cricket star-turned-politician Imran Khan will visit  Karachi on Thursday where he will lay down foundation stone for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, 3rd in the country.
The hospital to be built in record time in three phases, spread over 20-acre plot granted by ex-army chief General Raheel Shairf in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority City – located near the Karachi-Hyderabad Super Highway- in February this year.
During his three-day visit, Imran khan, according to PTI media cell, will visit to late religious scholar Junaid Jamshaid to offer condolences to the bereaved family. Khan will also address students at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and launch the party’s membership campaign
Imran Khan’s cancer hospital trust has already established two hospitals – one in Lahore and the other in Peshawar.
Last year on December 29, Imran Khan had inaugurated The Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Peshawar spread 50 kanals of land donated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Hayatabad Township.
