ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain for Independence Day. This rainy weather is expected to continue from August 14 to 18. The PMD predicts monsoon winds will strengthen in northern and central regions, with westerly winds entering the northern parts of the country.
From August 14 to 18, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various areas in Punjab, such as Murree, Galliyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, and Gujranwala, are likely to experience rain and strong winds.
Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Nankana Sahib, and Chiniot may also see rain. Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, and Sargodha are expected to experience rain with thunderstorms.
From August 15 to 18, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, and Rajanpur will likely see rain. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thunderstorms with rain are expected from August 14 to 18, including in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Bajaur, Buner, Kohat, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Balochistan will experience rain from August 15 to 18, and Sindh may see strong winds and rain during this period. Coastal Sindh will have cloudy weather with light rain, while Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to face strong winds and rain from August 15 to 18.
