India reach Women T20 Asia Cup final after beating Pakistan

KUALA LUMPUR: India Saturday final of reached Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup after defeating Pakistan by seven wickets at Kinrara Academy Oval.
Batting first, Pakistan set 72 runs target for India. Only two Pakistani batsmen reached double figures with opener Nahida Khan scoring and 18 and Sana Mir chipping in with 20 not out.
The entire team was bundled out for 72 runs for a loss of seven wickets.
A 65-run partnership between Harmanpreet Kaur (34* from 49 balls, 3×4) and Smriti Mandhana (38 from 40 balls, 4×4) guided India to a 7-wicket victory.
The win puts India through to the Sunday’s final.
On the other hand, Pakistan will have to wait for the outcome of the other match between third-placed Bangladesh and hosts Malaysia, to know their fate.
