Reports from foreign media reveal that 34-year-old Vikas Negi was actively participating in a local match in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The viral video depicts Vikas Negi stepping forward to offer encouragement to his fellow player, Umesh Kumar, after the latter scored a boundary. In a sudden turn of events, Vikas collapses on the ground, overwhelmed by the intensity of pain. Teammates quickly surround him, and the medical team rushes to the pitch to provide assistance.
Tragically, despite efforts to save his life, Vikas Negi was transported to a nearby hospital in Noida, where he succumbed to the cardiac arrest.
Media reports indicate that at the time of the incident, Negi had scored 07 runs off six balls, adding a somber note to the untimely loss during the cricket match.
