India’s recent drone incursions into Pakistan are not a show of military strength but a calculated media stunt driven by psychological warfare. On the night of May 6–7, India carried out illegal aggression under the false pretext of counter-terrorism. Pakistan’s armed forces responded promptly, decisively, and effectively, shooting down five Indian fighter jets and exposing the fragility of India’s air strategy.
Following these losses, India shifted its approach. Instead of a traditional military response, it resorted to cross-border drone strikes using Israeli-made Harop drones. These drones offer limited range, carry small payloads, and operate without accountability. Their purpose was not tactical gain but to create fear, mistrust, and unrest within Pakistan for internal political optics.
Pakistan’s response on May 7 was more than a show of force. It demonstrated patience, restraint, and strategic wisdom. In a nuclear region like South Asia, with over 300 nuclear weapons in play, controlling escalation is not weakness — it is maturity. Pakistan remains fully prepared to respond effectively, at any time and by any means necessary.
India’s motive is clear — to spark insecurity among civilians, stir emotional reactions, and erode public trust in the armed forces. On the night of May 7–8, India continued its provocations by dropping debris of a Prithvi missile in Amritsar and blaming Pakistan, aiming to sow discord between Muslims and Sikhs.
Between 2023 and 2024, India carried out 22 drone intrusions. Pakistan intercepted or jammed 95% of them. These attacks caused no notable military damage. India’s consistent aerial losses from 2019 to 2025 have highlighted its weaknesses in conventional air combat.
Drone attacks on major Pakistani cities and civilian areas in Azad Kashmir are an extension of India’s long-standing aggression in Occupied Kashmir, where over 90,000 innocent civilians have been killed since 1989. These drone strikes violate the Geneva Conventions and aim only to spread chaos in the region.
In the past year alone, India launched more than 20 drone attacks. These reflect its growing dependence on remote warfare and fear of direct confrontation. In contrast, Pakistan’s May 7 military response showcased discipline, depth, and long-term strategic planning. It wasn’t symbolic — it was a lawful and effective counter-strike.
Pakistan’s reaction was clear and complete. Any future provocation will be met with force that transcends borders and expectations. Now more than ever, national unity is essential to ensure full public support for our armed forces.
Media outlets and the public must stay alert. India’s psychological tactics and information warfare aim to mislead and divide. Every piece of news must be verified, and misinformation must be countered swiftly. It is a collective national responsibility to reject propaganda and stand firm in truth.
