KARACHI: An Indian passenger plane made an emergency landing at Karachi airport due to the deteriorating health of one of its passengers.
As reported by the Civil Aviation Authority, the pilot of the IndiGo Airline requested an emergency landing at 4:15 am on Thursday local time, citing the declining health of a female passenger. Karachi Air Traffic Control granted permission for the emergency landing on humanitarian grounds.
The flight, en route to Hyderabad Deccan in India from Jeddah, faced the emergency situation. Following the landing, a medical examination of the female passenger, identified as Hajira Bibi, revealed that she had unfortunately already passed away, according to the CAA.
The plane, now carrying the woman passenger’s body, resumed its journey to its destination at 6:15 am.
