51 Martyred in Indian Strikes: Pakistan Vows Retaliation With Full Force
A total of 51 lives were lost in the latest wave of Indian strikes, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The list includes 11 brave soldiers from the armed forces and 40 innocent civilians. The casualties occurred during the recent cross-border assault carried out by Indian forces.
ISPR revealed the details in a statement released on Monday. It described the Indian attacks as “barbaric” and “unprovoked.” The Indian Armed Forces targeted unarmed civilians on the night of May 6 and 7, killing men, women, and children.
Among the 40 civilians martyred, 7 were women and 15 were children. The total number of injured reached 121, which included 10 women and 27 children, as per ISPR.
In response to this Indian military action, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos under the broader campaign Marka-e-Haq. The ISPR termed it a “precise and well-executed retaliatory response.” These retributive strikes were aimed at Indian positions involved in the Indian offensive.
During the response, 11 Pakistani military personnel embraced martyrdom. Another 78 soldiers sustained injuries while defending the homeland. The ISPR praised their courage, calling it a “shining example of devotion and patriotism.”
The names of the fallen heroes were also released:
Pakistan Army:
Naik Abdul Rehman
Lance Naik Dilawar Khan
Lance Naik Ikramullah
Naik Waqar Khalid
Sepoy Muhammad Adeel Akbar
Sepoy Nisar
Pakistan Air Force:
Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf
Chief Technician Aurangzeb
Senior Technician Najeeb
Corporal Technician Farooq
Senior Technician Mubashir
These martyrs, according to ISPR, represent “eternal courage and national pride.” The military, along with the entire nation, offered solemn tributes to both civilian and military victims of the Indian aggression. Prayers were also offered for the injured.
ISPR emphasized that the nation stands united. Any future attempt to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty will meet a “swift, decisive, and full-spectrum response.” The statement concluded with a strong message of deterrence: “Inshallah, such provocations will never go unanswered.”
The Indian strikes followed the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) last month. India claimed its operations were targeted at “terrorist hideouts.” But ISPR firmly rejected that stance, stating the Indian aggression breached Pakistan’s territorial integrity.
Pakistan’s military response targeted multiple Indian military sites across several regions. These actions were described as “measured and proportionate” by officials.
The military conflict, which lasted 87 hours, ended on May 10. The ceasefire was brokered by the United States, bringing a temporary halt to the high-stakes conflict between the two nuclear nations.
