Inhuman Acts Cannot Weaken Pakistan Army’s Resolve: Asim Munir

Quetta: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that inhuman and brutal acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of the Pakistan Army or the nation.

In a statement following the recent cowardly terrorist attack in Quetta, Field Marshal Asim Munir said operations against terrorists and all their facilitators would continue with full force.

He said such barbaric actions cannot break the morale of Pakistan’s armed forces or the people of Pakistan.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir made it clear that security forces will continue operations against terrorists and their supporters.

He said Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism from the country.

According to him, all those involved in supporting terrorism will also be dealt with firmly.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eid ul Adha with soldiers deployed along Pakistan’s western borders.

He visited the forward positions near the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob district of Balochistan.

During the visit, he offered Eid prayers with army officers and soldiers.

Upon arrival in Quetta, the Corps Commander received the army chief.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited the martyrs’ memorial and laid a floral wreath.

He paid tribute to the brave sons of the soil who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the motherland.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the high morale, firm commitment, and operational readiness of the troops.

He also appreciated their vigilance and determination against externally sponsored terrorism.

The army chief said the soldiers deployed on the front lines are defending Pakistan with courage and dedication.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also offered special prayers for Pakistan’s lasting stability and prosperity.

He said the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs and the commitment of its soldiers will always be remembered.

The statement comes at a time when security forces continue counter-terrorism operations in different parts of the country, especially near the western border.
