Interior Ministry asks media outlets to refrain from speculations about Nisar

ISLAMABAD: The spokesperson of Interior Ministry has on Friday asked media outlets to refrain from premature speculations regarding Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s possible course of action in the current political scenario.
In a statement, the spokesperson asked media outlets to either disclose the “sources” spreading rumors about the Interior Minister’s possible resignation or refrain from disseminating such news reports.
He maintained that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will hold a press conference on Sunday and will unveil as to whatever his strategy is.
Earlier, media outlets reported that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan can possibly step down as the differences between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister have intensified.
According to media reports, the Interior Minister would take the decision of his political future in a day or two.
Meanwhile, according to some reports, if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified then Khwaja Asif would be interim prime minister and Shahbaz Sharif would be re-elected as MNA and then prime minister.
