Iran has launched the 37th wave of strikes on Israel, signaling a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict that has already shaken the region for nearly two weeks. Iranian officials say the latest attacks come in response to recent strikes on residential areas that Tehran claims have killed more than 1,300 civilians and damaged thousands of civilian locations.
A spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces said the country remains committed to strong retaliatory action. According to officials, the 37th wave of strikes on Israel involved the advanced Khorramshahr-4 hypersonic missile, also known as the Kheibar missile. Iranian sources claim the missile strikes targeted military locations in Jerusalem as well as facilities linked to the United States across the region.
Reports also say that a satellite communications centre in Tel Aviv was among the targets during the 37th wave of strikes on Israel. The announcement has raised fears that the conflict could spread further across the Middle East.
At the same time, a separate maritime incident occurred in the Strait of Hormuz. A cargo vessel caught fire after being struck by an unidentified projectile. According to maritime officials, crew members began evacuating the ship and sent out a request for emergency assistance as the situation unfolded.
Regional security concerns have also grown in Saudi Arabia. Authorities said their air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five drones flying over the Empty Quarter desert. The drones were reportedly heading toward the Shaybah oilfield, one of the kingdom’s key energy facilities capable of producing around one million barrels of crude oil each day.
Officials added that air defenses stopped two more waves of drones in the eastern part of the country. These developments came as the 37th wave of strikes on Israel continued to dominate headlines across the region.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Defence Ministry reported that its air defense systems intercepted a missile believed to have been launched from Iran. Officials said the projectile was successfully stopped and that the security threat had been neutralised. Authorities confirmed that the situation quickly returned to normal.
The 37th wave of strikes on Israel has heightened fears of a wider regional confrontation, as several countries strengthen security measures and closely monitor developments. Analysts warn that continued exchanges of attacks could draw more regional players into the crisis.
