Iran has warned that Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility could become a direct target if the United States or Israel attempts regime change in the Islamic Republic.
According to an international news agency, citing a semi-official Iranian news outlet, a senior Iranian military official said Tehran would respond strongly to any external intervention or attempt to overthrow its government.
The official stated that in such a scenario, the Dimona nuclear reactor in Israel would be among Iran’s primary targets.
He further claimed that Tehran possesses the capability to strike such strategic sites if necessary. Moreover, the official warned that if war is imposed on Iran, the conflict could expand across the wider region.
The statement also stressed that Iran is prepared to go to any extent to protect its sovereignty and political system. Analysts say such warnings reflect rising tensions in the Middle East amid ongoing geopolitical rivalries.
