The planned visit follows recent remarks from Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, who accused the United States of resuming military activity in breach of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. According to the ambassador, reports that the US sought to take control of the Strait of Hormuz amounted to a violation of both the Islamabad MoU and broader international law.
Moghadam called on the global community to speak out against the alleged US actions and to push for adherence to international legal standards.
