Iranian lawmaker Ibrahim Azizi Announces Special Trade Benefits for China and Russia Through Strait of Hormuz

Iranian lawmaker Ibrahim Azizi has announced that Tehran will provide special trade and maritime facilities to China and Russia in the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting the country’s commitment to strengthening ties with key strategic partners.

Speaking to reporters in Tehran, Ibrahim Azizi said Iran would extend preferential cooperation to Russian and Chinese vessels passing through the vital waterway. He noted that the decision comes amid the evolving regional situation and aims to protect shared economic and commercial interests.

Ibrahim Azizi said Iran will continue to prioritize cooperation with partner nations and work to expand economic and trade relations. He added that maintaining strong partnerships remains an important part of Tehran’s regional strategy.

Commenting on relations with Pakistan, Azizi described recent consultations between Iran and Pakistan as constructive and significant. He said the discussions helped strengthen diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries.

Addressing ongoing international negotiations, Azizi clarified that the transfer of enriched uranium to another country has not been discussed during any talks. He stressed that the issue was never part of negotiations or messages exchanged with the United States.

According to Azizi, Iran remains committed to protecting its nuclear rights and has no intention of compromising on matters it considers fundamental to its national interests.

Meanwhile, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohsen Rezaei, sharply criticized the United States and accused Washington of acting against the spirit of diplomacy.

Rezaei claimed that former US President Donald Trump was betraying diplomatic efforts for a third time. He also alleged that a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz remains in place despite American statements supporting peace and dialogue.

Discussing indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, Rezaei said the United States had presented demands that Iran considers unacceptable. He argued that Washington is not genuinely seeking a peaceful agreement and may be pursuing broader political and military objectives in the region through the negotiation process.
