Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi concluded his visit to Pakistan and returned to Iran on Wednesday, bidding farewell to his hosts at Karachi Airport, where he was seen off by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Tesori.
During his stay, President Raisi engaged in a series of high-level meetings with Pakistan’s leadership, including the Prime Minister, President, Army Chief, Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, as well as the Chief Ministers and Governors of Punjab and Sindh.

Following the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in various fields, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Ibrahim addressed a joint press conference in Islamabad. Sharif expressed satisfaction with the discussions, highlighting the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Iran, spanning religious, cultural, investment, and security domains.
Emphasizing the longstanding nature of their relations, Sharif noted Iran’s historic recognition of Pakistan 76 years ago. He also commended President Raisi for advocating on behalf of Kashmir, especially in light of the ongoing challenges faced by its people.
Sharif further touched upon international concerns, pointing out the Security Council’s inaction regarding the Gaza situation, while thanking President Raisi for his solidarity on the Kashmir issue.
