ISLAMABAD: The District Magistrate of Islamabad has granted conditional permission for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a public rally in the capital on September 8.
The district magistrate has issued a notification outlining 40 specific instructions that the rally organizers must follow. The Islamabad administration will provide security for the event.
The previous NOC for August 22 was canceled due to protests by religious groups, but the new permission comes with strict conditions.
The rally must not infringe upon the fundamental rights of any citizen, and participants are to gather at 4 pm with the rally concluding by 7 pm. The organizers are responsible for ensuring that participants disperse promptly after the event.
The notification also bans the use of sticks or weapons, and any protests or speeches against state institutions. The organizers must provide a list of stage attendees to the administration 12 hours in advance. The NOC for the rally may be revoked if any security issues arise.
