Islamabad power outage schedule has been announced by the Islamabad Electric Supply Company due to essential maintenance and minor development work in the federal capital. The company said these temporary shutdowns aim to improve system performance and ensure better service for consumers. Islamabad power outage schedule will affect multiple areas on December 16.
IESCO confirmed that electricity supply will remain suspended from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in selected localities. Technical teams will carry out repair work and upgrades during this period. The company urged residents to plan their activities accordingly and cooperate with field staff.
According to IESCO, several key areas will face power suspension. These include CDA Office, Service Road East, Iqbal Town, G-6/3, and Islamabad Club. Power supply will also remain unavailable in CDA Pump areas, Orchard Scheme, Athal, Babul Islam, F-8, G-9 Markaz, FHS, and I-8/4.
Additional affected locations include I-10/1, G-13/1, Railway Road, Rehra, CM Pak Zong, Kuri, Isolation Hospital, and PHA-1. IESCO also listed Pindi Point, Kohala, Bilawara, Pir Sohawa, surrounding residential areas, and Park Road among the locations likely to face outages.
The power utility stated that maintenance teams will work continuously to complete tasks within the given timeframe. Officials stressed that these measures will help reduce future faults and improve electricity reliability across Islamabad.
IESCO advised consumers to take safety precautions during the outage period. The company requested residents to avoid handling electrical equipment during restoration hours. Consumers can contact relevant complaint centers in case of emergencies or extended disruption.
IESCO said it remains committed to upgrading the distribution network and minimizing inconvenience through planned shutdowns rather than emergency breakdowns.
