British filmmaker, producer, and former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Jemima Khan, has refuted allegations of financing vloggers to garner support for her former husband and his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The accusations were made by PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari during a recent interview with a private news channel.
Responding to the claims on social media, Jemima stated, “This is not true,” emphasizing her commitment to only wishing for “peace & prosperity in Pakistan.”
Zardari, in his interview, suggested that vloggers settled abroad were claiming Jemima’s financial support for these bloggers. Alleging the existence of a lobby with different intentions behind this support.
He accused the former PTI chairman of being unsupportive of parliamentary democracy. Desiring a presidential democracy, characterizing it as a “cult democracy.”

The PPP co-chairman went further to mention Jemima’s mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, and referenced a documentary detailing how their family allegedly made money through wars. Citing involvement in the war in Egypt by recruiting British mercenaries.
Zardari expressed concern that Pakistanis living abroad may be influenced by other nations. Suggesting they are misled and lack a clear understanding of the situation in Pakistan.
He asserted that these individuals rely on reports showing PTI as a popular party in polls.
