LAHORE: The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq said that JI was unfairly treated in the results of the general elections, pledging to pursue all avenues for justice, including approaching the Supreme Court (SC).
Addressing the media in Lahore regarding the election outcomes, Siraj-ul-Haq expressed his belief that the election was marred by irregularities, thus resulting in the formation of a questionable government.
He called for the eradication of political polarization in the country, warning that failure to do so would endanger democracy.
Accusing the appointment of a finance minister as part of a conspiracy orchestrated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Siraj-ul-Haq urged for the abandonment of agreements pertaining to interest rates and non-progressive funds to improve the economy.
Additionally, he advocated for Pakistan’s intervention in facilitating a ceasefire in Gaza and advocated for the boycott of all Israeli products. JI vowed to protest and stand in solidarity with the oppressed.
