A joint investigation team (JIT) has been established to investigate the Swat Madyan incident. This JIT will include senior officers from the Special Branch Police, with oversight by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG). The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) will assist in gathering cellular data and identification of concerned individuals.
Sources reported that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has formed a 10-member JIT to probe the Ramkhi incident in Madyan. This team includes senior police officers from the Special Branch, and the DIG will oversee the investigation.
Balkhawadi Police Officer Swat mentioned that the committee investigating the Madyan incident also includes members from the district security branch, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and IT experts. Their task is to uncover the real details of the incident. The final report will be submitted to the Inspector General (IG) and the Chief Minister
It is reported that 2,000 people have been nominated in connection with this incident, and Nadra will assist in their identification through cellular data.
The initial report indicated that no high-ranking political figures were present at the scene. The clash resulted in injuries to eleven people and five police officers. The report also stated that the Madyan police had called for additional personnel to control the crowd but failed to move the Station House Officer (SHO) and the accused to a safe location.
