PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) has released first list of 30 candidates for the National Assembly seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The party spokesperson, Jalil Jan, disclosed the list of confirmed candidates, with ongoing consultations for the remaining seats. Interestingly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s sons, Asjad Mahmood and Asaad Mahmood, secured party tickets for Lakki Marwat and Tank constituencies.
Surprisingly, the party leader, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, did not make it to the list, fueling speculation about challenges in finding a suitable constituency for him. Additionally, Nasser Musi Zai and Noor Alam Khan were left without tickets for NA-30 and NA-28, respectively, possibly due to internal considerations.
In a strategic move, JUI-F embraced two former PTI members, granting them tickets for Peshawar constituencies. The political landscape is undoubtedly heating up in anticipation of the upcoming elections.
