LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) has requested Punjab Home Department to grant permission to its lawmakers to meet incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat jail.
According to details, JUI-F has written a letter to home secretary seeking permission to visit Nawaz Sharif, and a three-member delegation will call on the erstwhile prime minister if the request is approved.
It has been learnt that Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Asad Mehmood and Akram Khan Durrani will inquire about Nawaz Sharif’s health in jail and convey JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s message to him.
