The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) announced the closure of the Mansehra Naran Jalkhad Road beyond Kaghan due to over five feet of snowfall in the valley. This decision aims to ensure the safety of tourists as heavy snowfall continues to impact popular tourist destinations like Naran, Kaghan, and Shogran.
The KDA spokesperson, Moazam Ali, informed the media that Shogran has experienced a three-foot accumulation of snow, leading the administration to restrict travel on Shogran Road to only 4×4 vehicles equipped with snow chains. In Naran, where snowfall has exceeded five feet, tourists are prohibited from entering beyond Kaghan.
Despite these restrictions, a considerable number of tourists have arrived in Kaghan, eager to enjoy the picturesque snowfall and weather conditions. The spokesperson emphasized that the Kaghan Development Authority is actively involved in assisting tourists, and machinery is being deployed to clear roads, ensuring safety and convenience for visitors.
