A passenger was arrested at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after authorities discovered over 47 visas on his mobile phone. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reported that Aliyan Zaman, who was traveling to Malaysia on a visit visa, was detained by FIA immigration officials.
The inspection of Zaman’s mobile device revealed multiple visas, including those for Cyprus, which were allegedly intended for Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals.
FIA sources indicated that Zaman, a resident of Attock, had plans to travel from Malaysia to the United Kingdom with the assistance of an agent. He had already paid PKR 400,000 towards a total agreed amount of PKR 2.8 million for this illegal immigration attempt, with payments made in cash and through microfinance accounts.
Furthermore, authorities found a Cambodian visa among the documents on Zaman’s phone. Unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the visas, Zaman has been transferred to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (HTC) in Karachi for further investigation.
