KARACHI: Police have recovered the charred remains of Mustafa Amir, a young man who was kidnapped from Karachi’s Defence area on January 6. His body was discovered in the trunk of a burned car near Hub.
DIG CIA Muqaddas Haider confirmed that authorities arrested Armaghan, a close friend of Mustafa, along with his accomplice Shiraz, after collecting incriminating evidence from Armaghan’s residence.
Investigations suggest that Armaghan and Shiraz, childhood friends, allegedly murdered Mustafa over a domestic dispute. They then placed his body inside Mustafa’s own car, set it on fire, and abandoned it near Hub Chowki.
Shocking Interrogation Revelations
During questioning, Shiraz made a horrifying confession, revealing that Mustafa was still alive when they set the car on fire.
According to Shiraz, Armaghan had lured Mustafa to his house, where he tortured him for three hours using iron rods. After Mustafa lost consciousness, Armaghan taped his mouth shut and transported him to Hub.
Near a remote mountainous area, about two kilometers from Daraji, the suspects stopped to check if Mustafa was still breathing. Upon confirming he was alive, they doused him with petrol and set both him and the car ablaze.
After committing the crime, the duo walked for three hours before hiring a Suzuki pickup for Rs. 2,000 to reach 4K Chowrangi. From there, they took a rickshaw to Defence and later booked an online taxi home.
Police are now investigating whether more individuals were involved in the brutal killing.
