KARACHI: In a shocking incident, police discovered the bodies of two children, showing signs of torture and with their feet tied, at a clinic in Karachi’s Machar Colony.
According to media reports, police stated that the children were given sleeping pills in milk by Abdul Karim, a quack doctor, before being killed. Abdul Karim, son of Ataullah and a resident of Korangi, runs a clinic in the Maripur area of the city.
The police reported that Abdul Karim initially pretended to help search for the missing children alongside their father, Siraj, to conceal his crime. The suspect has confessed to kidnapping the children for ransom.
Siraj, the father of the deceased children, spoke to the media about the tragic incident. He recounted that the children were at Abdul Karim’s clinic. When their sister went to bring her brothers home in the afternoon, Abdul Karim claimed they had already left.
A relative added that the suspect admitted his intention to demand ransom from the children’s father.
