KARACHI: A recent medical report has confirmed the mental stability of the female driver involved in the tragic Karsaz traffic accident, where a father and daughter lost their lives, and five motorcycles were damaged.
The report, released by the psychiatry department of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) in Karachi, confirms that the accused is mentally sound. Dr. Chuni Lal, head of the psychiatry department at JPMC, stated that although the accused was initially in poor condition when she arrived at the hospital on August 19, an assessment revealed she was mentally stable.
Despite claims from the accused’s family about her history of mental illness, no documentation was provided to substantiate these claims. Dr. Lal also noted that the accused did not show any self-harming behavior during her hospital stay, leading to her discharge.
This confirmation of the accused’s mental fitness provides crucial clarity in the ongoing investigation into the Karsaz traffic accident.
