Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Amin Gandapur, and other prominent PTI leaders have been indicted in the GHQ Attack Case. The accused denied all charges in court. According to the details, the hearing took place at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. The Anti-Terrorism Court indicted 14 additional individuals in connection with the GHQ Attack Case.
The accused include Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, Shibli Faraz, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shehryar Afridi, and Kanwal Shozab. Other individuals indicted in the case are Colonel Shabbir Awan, Latasib Satti, Omar Tanveer Butt, Taimur Masood, Saad Ali Khan, Sikandar Zeb, Zohaib Afridi, Fahad Masood, and Raja Nasir. This brings the total number of accused in the GHQ Attack Case to 113.
The court also conducted a preliminary hearing on a petition filed by the founder of PTI. The petition argued that there was insufficient evidence to justify the indictments. The Anti-Terrorism Court will continue the hearing on this petition tomorrow in Rawalpindi.
Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur has appointed Ghulam Hasnain Sumbal as his legal representative. Ghulam Hasnain Sumbal will act as the pleader for Gandapur in 12 cases related to the May 9 events. The court has adjourned further proceedings in the GHQ Attack Case until December 21.
