Khud Mukhtar SAWI once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service by standing alongside the helpless victims of Buner. On Tuesday morning, trucks loaded with relief goods reached the affected areas, where local residents warmly acknowledged the effort and paid tribute to the organization.
According to Hassan Ali Shah reporting from Peshawar, Khud Mukhtar SAWI — the welfare and humanitarian initiative of Khyber TV Network — dispatched essential aid for hundreds of affected families in Buner. A volunteer team was formed for this mission, consisting of Meena Shams, Alia Marwat, Muhammad Waseem (Khyber News), Engineer Hammad Afghan, Baseer Iqbal, Aftab, Iqbal Zareen, Shahid Khalil, Salman Sheikh, Sami Khan, Muhammad Jameel, and Syed Muhammad.
The team personally distributed relief items among the victims. The aid package included flour, clean drinking water, mats, food supplies, medicines, water coolers, clothing, footwear, gift hampers for children, and beverages. During the distribution, the joy and gratitude could be seen in the eyes of women, elders, children, and young girls present at the site.
Local elders described the relief assistance sent by Khud Mukhtar SAWI as divine help and considered the organization a means through which their prayers were answered. The relief convoy also reached “Qad Nagar,” a remote location situated nearly four kilometers uphill from Buner, overcoming difficult mountainous tracks to access the victims there.
Meanwhile, Khyber News highlighted the conditions of the affected families and informed the provincial and federal governments, as well as PDMA and NDMA, to ensure further support.
