PESHAWAR: Khyber Network and Khud Mukhtar SAWI hosted a special Iftar dinner to honor struggling artists of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The event was organized for those talented individuals who, despite facing financial hardships, never ask for help. Around 25 artists attended the gathering, which was a tribute to their dedication and contribution to Pashto culture and the arts.
The evening started with Iftar, where guests enjoyed a variety of traditional dishes. After the Iftar, a Hi-Tea was served, adding a warm and welcoming touch to the event. The artists, many of whom have dedicated their lives to music, drama, and storytelling, expressed their gratitude for the appreciation and recognition they received.
Following the Hi-Tea, Khyber Network and Khud Mukhtar SAWI presented all the artists with Eidi and Eid gifts. This gesture aimed to bring joy to their Eid celebrations and acknowledge their hard work in keeping Pashto art and culture alive. The artists were visibly touched by the generosity and respect they received.
Speaking at the occasion, representatives from Khyber Network emphasized the importance of supporting local artists. They highlighted how these artists play a crucial role in preserving the region’s cultural heritage. However, many of them struggle financially due to limited opportunities and lack of official support. The event was an effort to recognize their efforts and provide them with a sense of belonging.
The attendees praised Khud Mukhtar SAWI and Khyber Network for arranging such a meaningful event. They expressed their hope that more organizations and individuals would step forward to support and appreciate the artists who continue to enrich society with their talent.
As the evening concluded, the artists left with smiles, carrying their Eidi and gifts, knowing that their contributions were valued. Khyber Network reaffirmed its commitment to promoting and supporting KP’s artistic community, ensuring that these unsung heroes of Pashto culture receive the recognition they deserve.
