PESHAWAR: The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a notification to halt the disbursement of double allowances to government employees working in various government departments.
The announcement specifies that employees deputed to the civil secretariat will now have the option of receiving either the secretariat performance allowance or the deputation allowance.
Additionally, the provincial finance department has taken notice of the payment of MPhil allowance to MS degree holders and directed an immediate cessation of such disbursements.
The directive clarifies that the MPhil allowance should only be granted to individuals holding an MPhil degree, and not to those with an MS or any other degree.
In a move to rectify any incorrect payments, the Finance Department has issued stringent recovery instructions to employees who have erroneously received allowances.
This step underscores the caretaker government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and efficiency in the distribution of allowances within the government sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
