PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and other parts of the country are anticipated to receive increased rainfall starting tomorrow (Sunday), accompanied by colder weather across most parts of the country, as reported by the Meteorological Department.
In the northern areas, encompassing Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the forecast includes both rain and snowfall. Meanwhile, parts of southern Baluchistan may experience rain, with mountainous areas likely to witness a dusting of snow.
Fog is expected to blanket the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh, with a possibility of rainfall in Islamabad and its surrounding areas. Murree and Galiat are also slated for rainfall, while mountainous regions are bracing for snowfall.
Coastal areas of Makran have been cautioned about potential rainfall, and heavy fog is predicted in various cities, including Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Jhang, and more.
Southern areas such as Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, and others should be prepared for foggy conditions. In Sindh, cities like Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Dadu are expected to be enveloped in fog.
Northern regions like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and others should exercise caution due to foggy weather. The same applies to areas like Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bonir, Bajaur, and Karam.
Waziristan, Kohat, and Bannu may witness rain, while Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, and Lucky Marwat could experience precipitation. Additionally, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and their surroundings are expected to be covered in thick fog.
