PESHAWAR: The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday announced the winter vacations schedule for public and private educational institutions in both plain and hilly areas for the academic year 2023-24.
As per the notification from the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, educational institutions in plain areas will have a winter break from December 23 to 31, with schools reopening on January 1, 2024.
In hilly or snowy areas, schools will be closed from December 23 to February 29, 2024, with educational institutions reopening on March 1 in the respective zone.
The KP’s Higher Education, Archives, and Libraries Department also issued a separate notification, stating that universities in plain areas will remain closed from December 23 to 31 for the winter break.
Moreover, universities in hilly areas will observe winter vacations from December 23 to February 29.
