ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has petitioned the court to allow him to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail for consultation on legal and political matters.
Gandapur’s plea emphasizes the need for privacy during the meeting and requests the court to direct the concerned authorities accordingly.
This move comes after the Punjab government previously prohibited Gandapur from meeting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in Adiala Jail due to security concerns. The ban on meetings at the jail, including Gandapur’s proposed meeting with Imran Khan, has been imposed for two weeks as per the Punjab Home Department.
Furthermore, media coverage has also been restricted near Adiala Jail’s gate no-5, with security officials enforcing a 2km buffer zone for media teams.
