PESHAWAR: Provincial Election Commission has sought explanation from MTI head, chief secretary and secretary local bodies, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for allegedly violating ban on recruitment and development schemes.
Muhammad Ayaz had filed a complaint with the commission alleging MTI for defying ban on recruitment while another complainant, a member Paharpur Tehsil council, Dera Ismail Khan Makhdoom
Altaf Hussain Shah had lodged complaint about launching of development schemes despite ban.
Taking notices of those complaints, the provincial election commission sought explanations from MTI head, Dr Nowsherwan about new recruitment, Chief Secretary and Secretary Local Bodies for starting of new development schemes.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday placed a ban on launch of new development schemes, besides barring recruitment in all federal, provincial and local governments to ensure conduct of the upcoming general elections in a free and fair manner. – APP
