KP federal transfers record shows Rs8.4 trillion paid to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the federal government pushes back against claims of unpaid dues. The Ministry of Finance shared official figures and challenged the provincial leadership narrative about missing funds. Officials say the data covers transfers from 2010 to November 2025 and reflects complete and timely payments.
The finance ministry says KP received Rs8,404 billion over the last 15 years through multiple federal channels. Officials reject the claim that the federation owes the province around Rs2,200 billion. They argue that the numbers tell a different story and show steady financial flows.
Under the National Finance Commission Award, the federation transferred Rs5,867 billion to KP since 2010. Officials insist the province received its full NFC share. They point out that NFC payments follow a fixed schedule and arrive every 15 days. On December 17, 2025, KP collected Rs46.44 billion under the same framework.
The federal government also paid Rs705 billion as a special one percent share to offset terrorism related losses. KP received another Rs482.78 billion through straight transfers. These included royalties, gas development surcharge, and excise duty proceeds. The ministry says these payments flowed without interruption.
After the merger of tribal districts, the federation sent Rs704 billion from its own share starting in 2019. Authorities also released Rs117.166 billion for internally displaced persons to support rehabilitation and resettlement efforts.
Through the federal development programme, KP secured Rs115 billion for projects across the province. Between 2016 and 2025, the Benazir Income Support Programme delivered Rs481.433 billion directly to beneficiaries in KP, strengthening household support.
Financial experts clarify that PSDP funds depend on project readiness and performance. They say confusion arises when some groups label delayed project releases as NFC arrears. According to experts, such claims ignore basic budget rules.
KP federal transfers record shows Rs8.4 trillion paid to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the finance ministry says the figures close the debate. Officials also mention ongoing work on the 11th NFC Award and broader provincial consultations.
