Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has written a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, urging him to immediately lift the ban on inter-provincial wheat transportation, terming it unconstitutional and harmful to the province’s food security.
According to sources, the governor stated that the restrictions are adversely affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s food supply and violate the constitutional principles of federal cooperation.
Governor Kundi emphasized that timely action by the federal government is necessary to ensure uninterrupted access to wheat for the province’s population and to prevent a potential food shortage crisis.
