PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have introduced a mobile application to track purchase and sale of stolen or snatched mobile phones.
Named ‘Find My Cell Phone (FMC),’ the app has been launched to enhance the convenience of Peshawar’s residents. Police authorities assert that this app will not only help in curbing snatching incidents but also play a crucial role in preventing the trade of stolen or snatched mobile phones.
The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) revealed that a registration form is available on the ‘Find My Cell Phone’ app for mobile dealers. Through this form, dealers can access data related to stolen mobile phones. The app will store details such as the mobile seller’s name, parentage, identity card information, and photograph.
Additionally, the app will send alerts to the Peshawar Police app, Control Room, and the relevant police station.
