Peshawar: The newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has asked the Inspector General of Police to withdraw all fake FIRs registered against PTI leaders and workers within a week.
Addressing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, newly elected CM also demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. He said that the whole world said that the elections were not transparent.
In his address, he said he is grateful to the founder of PTI Imran Khan. God willing, he will fulfill the hopes.
He stated that their leadership has been wronged, such fascism has not happened in the whole world. ‘I have become the chief minister as an independent, the abuse our party and our leadership faced, has not happened anywhere in the world. Our leader has been put in jail.
Ali stated that that true freedom was, is and will remain our need. There should be an open, clean and transparent trial of Imran Khan. The injustice done to our party women should be resolved. You should reform yourself, we are not vengeful, we do not want action. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this country, institutions and state is ours.
A look at life of Ali Amin Gandapur
The founder of PTI has nominated Ali Amin Gandapur as the candidate for the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Ali Amin Gandapur, the PTI leader who was elected as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, belongs to the southern district of Dera Ismail Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Born in the year 1978 in an influential zamindar family of Tehsil Kalachi in the southern district of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin is a free-spirited student.
After studying in Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar, he graduated from Gomal University. Ali Amin’s father (deceased) Aminullah Gandapur was the caretaker minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under General Pervez Musharraf’s era. At that time he was associated with the Pakistan Muslim League. Aminullah Gandapur was also a part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet for a short time during the Musharraf era.
It was around this time that Ali Amin Gandapur became interested in politics and joined PTI. In 2007 and 2008 the lawyers’ movement brought Ali Amin Gandapur closer to the founder PTI.
From the general elections of 2013, he stepped into practical politics and after winning the provincial seat became the Minister of Finance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the general elections of 2018, Ali Amin was elected Member of National Assembly from NA-38 after defeating Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
After winning the 2018 elections, he served as the Minister of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in Imran Khan’s government and during this time worked on the issues of making Gilgit-Baltistan a province.
