Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s primary schools are set to close. The All Primary Teachers Association (APTA) has made this decision. They will keep all primary schools in the province shut until they receive a notification regarding their upgradation.
Azizullah, the president of APTA, expressed frustration. He stated that the upgradation has not occurred, despite cabinet approval. The issue remains unresolved, even after numerous protests and discussions. As a result, 26,000 primary schools will be closed starting tomorrow. Additionally, 100,000 primary teachers are preparing to take to the streets.
The call for closure reflects ongoing discontent among educators. They seek immediate action on their demands. Until their concerns are addressed, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s primary education system will face significant disruption.
