Lahore Qalandars have won the PSL Final 2025, beating Quetta Gladiators in a heart-stopping run chase. With this victory, they lifted the Pakistan Super League trophy for the third time. Only Islamabad United has achieved this before.
The PSL Final 2025 saw Quetta setting a massive target of 202 runs. Lahore came out swinging. Mohammad Naeem and Fakhar Zaman opened the innings with intent. They put together a solid 39-run partnership that set the momentum.
Fakhar Zaman couldn’t last long. He was dismissed by Abrar Ahmed after scoring 11 runs off 10 balls, which included two boundaries. Abdullah Shafique joined Naeem next. The pair went after the bowlers aggressively and stitched a vital partnership.
Mohammad Naeem looked dangerous. He smashed a six-heavy 47 off just 27 deliveries. His knock included a boundary and six sixes. Faheem Ashraf ended his charge, but not before Lahore reached 85 for 2 in 8.4 overs.
Abdullah Shafique kept the scoreboard ticking. He formed a useful 30-run stand with Kusal Perera. Usman Tariq eventually dismissed Shafique for 41 off 28 balls. His knock featured four boundaries and a six. Lahore stood at 115 for 3 in 12.3 overs.
Perera was determined. Alongside Bhanuka Rajapaksa, he fought hard. But Quetta’s bowlers tightened the screws with dot balls. The required rate climbed above 10 per over.
Mohammad Amir broke the momentum in the 17th over. He removed Rajapaksa, who made 14 off 16. Lahore was now 145-4 in 16.4 overs.
Then came Sikandar Raza. He turned the PSL Final 2025 on its head. He cracked two boundaries off Amir, reducing the pressure instantly. Perera reached a blistering fifty off 28 balls and kept the chase alive.
With 13 runs needed in the last over, Raza sealed it. He smashed a four and a six to wrap up the match with just one ball to spare. Lahore won the PSL 10 final in dramatic fashion.
Earlier, Quetta had won the toss and opted to bat. Their innings began with a setback. Captain Saud Shakeel fell early to Shaheen Afridi for just 4 runs. Quetta stood at 17 for 1 in 2.4 overs.
Salman Mirza struck next. He removed Finn Allen for 12 off 11 balls. Quetta was under pressure early. Then came a brief recovery. Rilee Rossouw and Hasan Nawaz added 38 runs.
Rossouw threatened to take the game away but was dismissed by Sikandar Raza after scoring 22 off 11 balls. At that point, Quetta was 58-3 in 6.2 overs.
Fernando added 29 off 22 but fell to Rishad Hossain with the score at 125-4 in 12.5 overs. Dinesh Chandimal stepped in and hit two big sixes off Raza in the 17th over.
Shaheen Afridi returned and dismissed Chandimal for 22 off 13. Two balls later, he got Hasan Nawaz, who had played a stunning knock of 76 off 43 balls. Quetta was reduced to 172-6 in 17.5 overs.
In the final over, Faheem Ashraf exploded with the bat. He smashed 28 runs off just 8 deliveries, helping Quetta cross the 200 mark. He was dismissed on the last ball of the innings.
