Great news for wildlife enthusiasts in Lahore as the Lahore Safari Zoo is gearing up to welcome visitors once again on January 31, 2024, following an extensive three-month renovation. Embracing the Singaporean wildlife park model, the zoo promises an immersive experience in a natural habitat.
With a whopping Rs2.6 billion investment, the renovation introduced 11 new wild animals, including pandas, hippos, rhinoceroses, black jaguars, and pumas. The animal enclosures were thoughtfully redesigned to replicate their natural environments, prioritizing the well-being and comfort of the inhabitants.
Excitingly, the project also unveiled new attractions like an African safari, a desert safari, and a salt range within the Safari park, aiming to enhance the overall visitor experience and solidify the zoo’s status as a premier wildlife destination.
Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared the reopening announcement in a tweet, saying, “Exciting news for wildlife enthusiasts! Lahore Safari Zoo is set to open soon, adopting the thrilling Singaporean model for a wildlife park. Brace yourselves for an immersive experience in a natural habitat – doors open on Jan 31, 2024!”
