Lakki Marwat blast

A deadly Lakki Marwat blast rocked the busy Sarai Naurang market on Tuesday, leaving at least seven people dead and more than 18 others injured, according to hospital sources.

Among those killed in the Lakki Marwat blast were two traffic police officers who were on duty in the area at the time of the explosion. The sudden blast created panic in the crowded market as people rushed to save the injured.

Hospital officials said women and children were also among the injured. Several wounded people were shifted to nearby medical facilities for treatment, while emergency teams reached the site soon after the incident.

Following the Lakki Marwat blast, an emergency was declared at Sarai Naurang Hospital to handle the growing number of casualties. Medical staff were called in urgently to provide treatment to the injured.

Security officials have started an investigation to determine the nature and cause of the explosion. The area was sealed off as rescue and security teams continued their operation.

The Lakki Marwat blast has once again raised concerns over the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where such incidents have targeted both civilians and law enforcement personnel in recent months.
