On the final day of the voluntarily repatriation deadline in Pakistan, a significant number of Afghan residents, around 3000, arrived at the Bab-e-Dosti border. However, due to a timely gate closure, 800 Afghans faced obstacles in entering Afghanistan.
To ensure compliance, district authorities have been using local mosques to broadcast eviction warnings to remote areas, neighborhoods, and villages. Those who fail to vacate their homes by November 1, both Afghans and landlords, will face consequences. The district administration has also set up a residential camp at Bab-e-Dosti Gate, providing food assistance to the Afghan families.
Deputy Commissioner Chaman Raja Athar Abbas reports a notable surge in the voluntary repatriation of Afghan citizens.
