The Law and Order Situation in Bannu continues to deteriorate as armed robberies, vehicle hijackings and mysterious disappearances spread fear among residents, raising serious questions about the performance of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
People in Bannu and nearby areas are living under growing fear as criminals appear to be operating without fear of accountability. The latest incidents have once again exposed the worsening security conditions in the district and the failure of provincial authorities to control crime.
In one shocking incident, armed robbers intercepted a bank cash van near Sparka Chowk in the Domel area and escaped with more than Rs80 million. The attackers also snatched four rifles and a pistol from the security guards deployed with the vehicle.
The incident took place in a busy area, yet the criminals managed to flee without resistance. Citizens say such major crimes openly taking place reflect the collapsing Law and Order Situation in Bannu and the inability of the provincial government to ensure public safety.
In another alarming development, a Rescue 1122 emergency worker named Saqibur Rehman went missing under mysterious circumstances. According to local sources, he disappeared on Tuesday evening and his mobile phone has remained switched off since then.
His family and local residents have launched search efforts, but no confirmed information about his whereabouts has surfaced so far. The disappearance has added to public anxiety, especially at a time when fear and insecurity already dominate daily life in the region.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed men also hijacked a vehicle carrying ration supplies for security forces in the Jani Khel area. The repeated attacks in different parts of the district have intensified criticism of the PTI-led KP government and its security policies.
Political observers and residents believe the provincial administration has failed to take effective steps to restore peace in Bannu. Many say weak governance, poor planning and lack of serious action against criminal networks have allowed lawlessness to grow rapidly across the area.
The Law and Order Situation in Bannu has become a major concern for traders, government employees and ordinary citizens who fear more violence if urgent action is not taken. Residents are demanding stronger security measures and immediate action against those responsible for spreading fear in the district.
As incidents of robbery, kidnapping and armed attacks continue to rise, pressure is mounting on the KP government to explain why security conditions in Bannu are worsening despite repeated promises of peace and stability.
