LAHORE: The unofficial results of the Punjab Assembly’s constituencies are being received, reflecting tough competition between the Imran Khan party’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed candidates and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. PML-N is leading with 125 seats while PTI-backed independent candidates followed with 122 votes.
Here are the live results of the Punjab Assembly.
In a first complete unofficial results of any Punjab constituency, PTI-backed independent Roy Murtaza emerged victorious from PP-203 Sahiwal. PTI-backed independent Roy Murtaza secured 62468 votes followed by PML-N’s Hanif Jatt who bagged 47231 votes.
From PP-253 Bahawalpur, independent Asghar won the poll by securing 40461 votes, defeating PML-N’s Zaheer Iqbal who could get 23490 votes
PP-1: PTI-backed independent candidate Qazi Ahmad Akbar has won the seat by securing 49257 votes against PML-N Jahangir Zada who secured 36443 votes.
PP-2: PTI-backed independent candidate Muhammad Ali is leading with 1077 votes against PML-N Ifthikhar Ahmed who secured 400 votes
PP-3: Syed Aijazul Hasan, an independent candidate secured 36897 votes to beat PML-N’s Hameed Akbar to grab the seat.
PP-4: PML-N candidate Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan emerged victorious with 48593 votes while TLP candidate Malik Amant Rawal stood second by securing 43685 votes.
PP-5: PML-N’s Malik Aitebar Khan defeated PTI-backed candidate, Malik Jamsheed Altaf on PP-5 Attock. Khan secured 46665 votes, while Altaf secured 43620 votes.
