Mahira, one of Pakistan’s most followed celebrities, enjoys massive popularity online with over 11.7 million followers on Instagram. She was recently seen alongside Wahaj Ali in a television commercial, and the pair are also expected to appear together in an upcoming drama.
During Asim Azhar’s concert, the singer performed his hit song “Tarasti Hain Nigaahein.” In a fan-recorded clip circulating online, Mahira can be seen dancing to the track while enjoying the performance.
The actress was dressed in an off-white printed angrakha-style shirt paired with a churidar pajama and dupatta, keeping her look elegant and traditional.
However, her dance performance did not impress a large section of social media users. Many critics shared negative comments, saying the dance moves were unexpected from a senior actress.
One user wrote that such dance steps did not suit an artist of her stature, while another questioned why people try to appear younger than their age. Some social media users even compared the moment to a viral concert clip of Indian singer AP Dhillon and actress Tara Sutaria.
